AMMR Journal
Advances in Multilingual and Multicultural Research (AMMR) Journal is a scholarly journal dedicated to publishing research on the cognitive, social, cultural, educational and political aspects of bilingualism and multilingualism. The publication aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of linguistic and cultural diversity, their impact on global society and the development of innovative approaches to intercultural interaction.
The aim is to become a center of scholarly interaction, bringing together researchers from around the world in the field of multilingualism and cultural diversity.

- Effects of multilingualism on cognitive processes including memory, attention, and executive functions.
- Neurobiological studies of bi- and multilingualism, including changes in brain structure and functional activity.

- Studying the impact of multilingualism on the formation and preservation of cultural traditions.

The journal accepts for publication - original research papers, review articles, theoretical papers, methodological papers, comments and reviews on published works.
The AMMR Journal accepts a wide range of scientific papers for publication, including:
All articles of the journal are registered in the CrossRef database, and each publication is assigned a unique digital DOI identifier, which ensures correct citation, reference and access to electronic documents. The journal is included in the Kazakhstan Citation Database (KazBDC), supported by the JSC “National Center for State Scientific and Technical Expertise” (NCSTE).
Publications in Advances in Multilingual and Multicultural Research (AMMR) are included in the systems of calculating citation indices of authors and journals.
“Citation index” is a numerical index that characterizes the importance of a given article and is calculated based on subsequent publications citing the paper.
The journal is indexed in the systems
The journal is published twice a year (June and December) in each issue with up to 7 original publications according to the subject of the journal.
Manuscripts are accepted through the electronic platform of the journal. Articles should be formatted as per the guidelines for authors. During the submission process, authors must provide their full names, affiliations, full academic titles and degrees, e-mail addresses, and research database identifiers. Authors must also sign the publication consent form (Appendix 2), provide a brief curriculum vitae, and identify any organizations, projects, or other agencies supporting their publication. All submitted articles must follow APA format and be prepared in English.
The journal adheres to a policy of information openness, providing free and full access to authors' publications on its website.
Electronic versions of the scientific journal are provided to the JSC “NCSTE” for the formation of the collection and inclusion in the electronic library. The journal archives materials in the catalog of the scientific library of Shokan Ualikhanov Kokshetau University and in the scientific electronic library of the university.
Reviewing is a key stage that guarantees the high quality of publications and scientific value of research. All manuscripts submitted to the editorial office undergo double-blind review, where authors and reviewers remain anonymous, which eliminates bias and ensures the objectivity of evaluation. Experts analyze the materials in detail, assessing their scientific novelty, correctness of methodology, as well as the significance and relevance of the results obtained. On average, the review process takes from 3 to 6 months, during which the manuscript undergoes a comprehensive examination, including checking the logical structure, validity of conclusions, and compliance with academic standards. Following the review, authors receive recommendations for revision or notification of acceptance of the article for publication.
The journal supports open access by providing free access to published materials, which contributes to their wide dissemination and citation.
Authors retain their copyright on articles and provide consent for their publication and subsequent use, provided that the source is properly cited. At the same time, the authors transfer to the publisher of the journal the right to use their work (including publication and distribution in the public domain) under a non-exclusive license in the form of a Copyright Agreement (public offer). At the same time, the authors continue to be full rightful owners of their materials.
